Loving is giving time, attention, compassion, and care.

What does it look like to love God and to love people? I have asked myself this question many times.

How do I follow in the footsteps of Jesus and be love? He did call me to follow Him, after all.

Day in and day out, what does real love look like?

More and more I am discovering that love=presence.

Living in God’s presence.

Giving Him our presence.

Giving people our presence.

Loving is giving time, attention, compassion, and care.

Real love is both surprisingly simple and extraordinarily powerful, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Love is a choice.

Mary sat at the feet of Jesus, giving Him her full attention. He said she had chosen the most important thing.

Everyday I can choose love. And everyday I can become a little more like Jesus until love becomes who I am.

want to become someone who naturally gives my time, attention, compassion, and care, and it doesn’t feel like a choice or even a sacrifice.

I am a new creation in Christ, created to reflect the image of God which is love.

Jesus was always moved by compassion–compelled by love–to heal the sick, set the captives free, and share the Good News about the Kingdom.

He lived a humble life that was not His own–everything He had He freely gave away. He gave His time, His love, His power, His mercy, and His life.

Jesus is no longer here in the flesh, so I cannot physically sit at His feet like Mary did. But I can live in His presence. I can give Him my time and attention first.

And throughout my day, I can give the gift of my presence to people. For anything I do unto the least of these, I have done unto Him.
